Programme presentation. It is hard to imagine enterprises, municipal structures, regions and a country as a whole without economists. An economist is one of the most widely-spread and interesting professions which requires profound knowledge in basic economic disciplines as well as in different aspects of business practice. Experienced and highly-qualified teachers are involved in the educational process at the Faculty. Many teachers have academic degrees and act as paraprofessionals.
The peculiarity of training of Bachelor’s students is reflected in its profiles: “Tax and Taxation” covers the sphere of taxation, business and law for fiscal and business corporations; “Regional Economics” includes directorate for regional and municipal development: natural-resources, production and human potential of the region; “Insurance” represents activities in the sphere of insurance business in the framework of an inter-national educational project and a great opportunity to study and undergo internships abroad; “Finance and Credit” provides successful work in the sphere of finance and credit. Graduates of the Bachelor’s programme may continue education in the postgraduate programmes.
Competitiveness of students. A combination of theoretical and practical knowledge provides professional competence of graduates who are able to work in organizations of any sphere and form of ownership.
Interaction with employers. The Faculty concluded long-term cooperation agreements with the leading enterprises of the region where students have an opportunity to solidify their skills. The development of international activities in the sphere of education is one of the key areas of the University that is why the students of the Faculty of Economics regularly participate in student exchange programmes in foreign HEIs. They take an active part in research, competitions and Olympiads of different levels.
The graduates of the Bachelor’s programme are in-demand in commercial banks, financial and insurance companies, tax administrations and customs services. They also work as auditors, accountants, economists within their profile and as financial experts in audit, consulting companies, accounting and financial departments of enterprises and organizations, management structures and local authorities.
