HEI’s image. Institute of Management and Business of Tyumen State Oil and GasUniversity is a dynamic institute which was established on the basis of the oldest economic departments of the Oil and GasUniversity and has traditions in education and training of competitive and in-demand specialists.

Programme presentation. Profile “Economics” involves education and training of  Bachelors in several profiles: “Economics of Labour”, “Statistics”, “Trade Policy”, “Economics of Enterprises and Organizations”. Students have the opportunity to continue their education in the Master’s programme.

Education involves extensive use of active and interactive forms of learning: computer modelling, business and role games, psychological and other trainings, study cases and so forth. Meetings with the representatives of Russian and foreign companies, state and public organizations and master-classes of experts are organized within the training courses.

Teaching staff. Highly qualified teaching staff includes leading scientists and teachers of Tyumen State Oil and Gas University and other HEIs, experienced specialists of Russian and foreign companies, leading experts of regional management bodies and ensures high level of students’ professional knowledge. Among 111 teaching staff members 15 teachers have a doctoral degree and 70 teachers have a candidate degree.

Several departments of the institute are winners of All-Russian contest “Gold Department of Russia” for the achievements in development of the Russian education.

Competitiveness of students. For outstanding achievements in their studies, research work, social activities students are awarded personal grants of the Governor of the Tyumen region, social and charitable funds, oil and gas companies and the Academic Council of the university. Students of the Institute are holders of the grants of the Russian President, Association of the Graduate of Tyumen State Oil and GasUniversity, Russian and international grants.

Interaction with employers. In recent years, the interaction of the institute with companies has stabilized and includes not only education but also research, project, expert and consulting activities.

Strong partnerships have been established with such well-known oil, gas and service companies as LLC “Lukoil – Western Siberia”, JSC “Sibnefteprovod” and the subsidiaries of JSC “Gazprom”. In 2014 the branch of the Department of Economics, Organization and Production Management, the activity of which covers educational, methodological and research work, was established on the basis of LLC “NPP “Simpleks”.
