540 young engineers will present their ideas on digitization of the fuel and energy sector
More than 500 young specialists and future engineers from 60 regions of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will take part in the final of the VII International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN", one of the projects of the platform "Russia, Land of Opportunity". The finalists will present their ideas on digitization of the fuel and energy sector and the mineral resources sector to the expert community.
The CASE-IN Championship is an international system of competitions on solving engineering cases among schoolchildren, students and young professionals in the fuel and energy sector and the mineral resources sector. Competitions are held in several leagues: the school league, the industrial worker league, the student league, the young professional league, and the special league.
The VII season of CASE-IN is devoted to digital transformation, which is one of the priority themes for the Russian and world economy.
In total, 540 people will take part in the final to be held on May 30-31 in Moscow. The finalists will present engineering case solutions in seven sectoral areas: Exploration, Mining, Metallurgy, Oil and Gas, Petrochemistry, Digital Atom, and Electric Power.
More than 4,724 students of 57 leading technical universities of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan and young specialists of 40 largest companies of the fuel and energy sector and the mineral resources sector competed to get into the final of the VII season of CASE-IN. The participants' work was evaluated by experts from more than 300 industry companies.
The decisions of the teams will be evaluated by an expert commission which will include representatives of the championship's partners including ATNEFT PJSC, Transneftenergo LLC, SIBUR Holding, GK Rosatom, Siberian Anthracite JSC, United Company RUSAL, Russian Copper Company JSC, EvrazHolding LLC, and many others.
The best participants will be offered to undertake internships and work placement at the leading companies of the fuel and energy sector and the mineral resources sector, to get enrolled in specialized training programs at universities as well as to pass accelerated personnel reserve selection.
In 2019, the Championship’s national partners are the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.
The Championship is organized by the Reliable Change Foundation, the "Youth Forum of Mining Leaders" non-profit partnership and AstraLogika LLC.
The Russian National Committee of the International Council on Large High-Voltage Electric Systems became the co-organizer of the “Electric Power Industry” sector of the Student League “CASE-IN”.
