HEI’s image. BashkirStateMedicalUniversity is a contemporary academic and research complex, one of the leading centres for medical personnel training. The University was included in the official register the “National Quality Mark”. The HEI is a winner of the interregional competition “The Best Higher Education Institution of the Volga Federal District – 2010”.

Programme presentation. The University trains specialists in “Medical and Preventive Care”. The main task of the Programme’s specialists is preventing illnesses, creating favourable environment for health protection, maintaining sanitary and epidemiological safety.

The students of the Programme are trained by 50 University’s departments. Four of them are major departments.

The students are provided with favourable conditions for successful learning, creative and sportive development. The HEI houses a modern sports centre, recreation resort, perennial sports camp “Pulse”, people’s students’ theatre “Dialogue 38”. The students’ team of the Club of the Funny and Inventive have won prizes of numerous republican competitions.

Competitiveness of students. The Faculty’s students win prizes of national and international contests and Olympiads. Some students get scholarships of the President and the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Graduates of the Programme do not face any employability challenges. Students work in the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being, Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology, medical and preventive institutions in the field of clinical epidemiology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and trading enterprises. The Faculty’s graduates are highly employable in the region and throughout Russia.

Interaction with employers. Classes of specialized academic disciplines are conducted in the campus and beyond: offices of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being, preschool institutions and schools, public catering and manufacturing enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan. BashkirStateMedicalUniversity’s Simulation Centre provides the opportunity for quality acquiring professional competencies.
