Russia and Turkey have signed an agreement on cooperation in quality assurance of higher education
The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council, THEQC (Ankara) held the Russo-Turkish seminar on August 26-29, 2019. During the seminar the following issues were discussed: development of cooperation in evaluation and quality assurance of higher education, coordination of approaches to evaluation, exchange of experts and holding joint events. The analysis of development of higher education systems in Russia and Turkey, particular characteristics of infrastructure development, content and methods of education quality evaluation, review process and principles of work of review panels were of particular interest. The Russian Federation was represented by Vladimir Navodnov, Director of the National Centre for Public Accreditation (NCPA), and Galina Motova, NCPA Deputy Director, and the Republic of Turkey was represented by Muzaffer Elmas, HEQC President, Sibel Aksu Yildirim, HEQC Vice-President, and THEQC staff.
On August 26 the agreement on cooperation in quality assurance of higher education between the National Centre for Public Accreditation (Russia) and the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (Turkey) was officially signed by V. Navodnov and Muzaffer Elmas. The agreement provides bilateral cooperation in evaluation and accreditation of study programs and higher education institutions.
