uniRank publishes 2018 YouTube University Ranking
uniRank publishes global rankings of the web popularity and social media activity of universities. They have published a ranking of the most popular higher education institutions on YouTube which is restricted to those that are accredited by national authorities, offer post-graduate or four-year undergraduate degrees, and use traditional course delivery format.
The Ivy League, Oxford and Cambridge do well as do specialist American institutions like the Berklee College of Music, the Culinary Institute of America and the Academy of Art University. There is also a good representation for universities from India, Indonesia and Latin America. There are no Chinese or African universities in the top 200.

OVERVIEW
The uniRank page provides the information on the adoption of the social platform YouTube among higher education institutions and leads to the most comprehensive list of Universities and Colleges with an official presence on YouTube. The list is arranged alphabetically by country name and then ranked by total number of subscribers. YouTube data/rankings are extracted and published twice a year, in April and October, and the current first edition is based on data extracted in October 2018.

3) YouTube University Rankings aim and methodology
Some large Universities have adopted multiple YouTube pages associated, for example, to each Faculty and/or to each administrative area (i.e. Admissions, Marketing and Communications, Alumni, etc.). uniRank has chosen the most general institutional YouTube page for each University in order to publish its uniRank YouTube University Ranking™ for each country and for the top 200 Universities on YouTube listings.
The uniRank YouTube University Ranking's aim is to provide an approximate popularity index of each University in the YouTube social media platform based on the total number of subscribers; it is not intended to rank higher education organisations or their programs, by the quality of education or level of academic services provided.
