Programme presentation. The Programme complies with the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education in “Pediatrics” and provides students with the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which are necessary for working as practitioner pediatrician.
The Programme involves using innovative methods of educational technologies. Research activity of students is one of the most important areas of the educational process. The Faculty’s programme of international academic exchange provides for professional de-velopment of its participants.
Teaching staff. Qualified teaching staff assure the highest quality of education, which includes Honoured Doctors of the
Competitiveness of students. Clinical training is conducted in multifunctional republican medical centres, which are supplied with high-tech equipment. Students participate in national and international Olympiads and conferences.
The Commission for Employment indicates major demand for the Faculty’s graduates, which is determined by profound theoretical knowledge, practical skills and striving for continuous professional development of young specialists. About 5-6% of graduates get diplomas with honours. The region’s annual demand for pediatricians exceeds the number of graduates by 2-3 times.
Interaction with employers. Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic, senior doctors of major medical institutions, and leading specialists in pediatrics are involved in the development of the educational programme and its implementation.
