Best Educational Programs: DENTISTRY

HEI’s image. The mission of the Academy is to form intellectual, cultural and ethical ca-pacities and skills in the sphere of medical science and health care based on international standards and national traditions of higher medical education.

According to the Russian Agency of Medical and Social Information the Academy is among “100 Best Russian HEIs”. Quality management system of the Academy is certified according to the requirements of MS ISO 9001:2008.

Programme presentation. The educational programme is implemented at the Faculty with a 57-year history in training of dental specialist. Demand for graduates is proved by a high level of competitive admission (10.5 applicants per place). High level of the educational process is provided by its private dental hospital of the VoronezhStateMedicalAcademy named after N.N. Burdenko.

Teaching staff. Historically formed academic and methodological dental schools in Voronezh play a great role in the realization of the Academy’s mission. A great amount of research is carried out in the interests of practical medicine in close cooperation with other leading national and foreign HEIs and research institutes. Among teachers are lau-reates of Russian Federation Government Prize, Honoured workers of Higher School of Russian Federation and Honoured Doctors of Russian Federation.

Competitiveness of students. According to the rating of the Unified State Examination the Academy ranks third among Russian medical institutions. Annually 5-12% of graduates get diplomas with high honours. There are a lot of scholarship holders of Russian Federation President and Russian Federation Government among the students of the Faculty.

Academic activity of students is reflected in successful research activities: young re-searchers publish their works, participate in forums of different levels. The students of the Faculty successfully represent the Academy in national Olympiads in dental therapy, surgery, orthopedics and maxillo facial surgery.

Interaction with employers. The Faculty conducts regular monitoring of the results of the programme’s mastering among students, graduates and employers. It also arranges annual “Job fairs” contributing to graduates’ employment. The Dental Alumni Association was founded in order to increase the quality of education.
