Achievements and awards. Professional-public accreditation certificate №024/18 of March 12, 2018 issued by the Medical League of Russia (the All-Russian non-governmental organization). The report on external expert evaluation of educational programs of higher education. Order of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science №847 of June 06, 2018 on state accreditation of educational activities of VSMU named after N.N. Burdenko of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation (in General Medicine). By the decision of the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the NationalCentre for Public Accreditation, the General Medicine program has been ranked top since 2011 within the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.

Teaching staff. The academic degree holders rate is 77.4% (61.2% are Candidates of Sciences, 15.7% are Doctors of Sciences). All the teachers involved in the program delivery have basic education relevant to the discipline/module being taught; the average age is 46; there are four Doctors of Sciences under 39.

Facilities and resources. The Faculty of General Medicine consists of 18 departments. The university has 73 classrooms in the main building, 40 classrooms in the academic and laboratory building, 300 classrooms at medical institutions. The total number of seats is 6,195, which is sufficient for effective educational activities at all levels of professional education.

The university utilizes clinics of 40 medical institutions of Voronezh under contracts for uncompensated use of property.

Strategic partners. The university has partnership agreements with 11 healthcare departments nationwide. Graduates are employed at medical institutions of the Voronezh Region, the Lipetsk Region, the Belgorod Region, the Tambov Region, and other regions. Many graduates, top-ranked specialists in their field of study, are employed in the CIS countries and beyond: in Germany, Israel, the USA, Spain, etc.

Competitive advantages. The Faculty of General Medicine cooperates with the Charité university hospital (Berlin) where students annually undertake their specialized practical training sessions.

Students participate in regional and all-Russian competitions and olympiads, individual and team competitions, they are members of various clubs. The best students place high and receive grants for research.
