Current position in rankings. TverStateMedicalUniversity was ranked 5th among medical universities of the Russian Federation according to the Ranking of Demand for Higher Educational Institutions in the Russian Federation-2017 and 96th among over 600 HEIs according to the Forbes ranking of Russian educational institutions.

Achievements and awards.TverStateMedicalUniversity is a big educational research medical institution. Over the years of its activity, several generations of dentists have been trained for Russia and other countries.

Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly qualified teaching staff including two Corresponding Members of the RussianAcademy of the Russian Federation, 46 Professors (including Honored Workers of Higher Education, Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, Honored Workers of Science of the Russian Federation) as well as 122 Associate Professors and 201 Assistants.

Facilities and resources. Training is provided at the university clinical facility: the scientific and practical academic and therapeutic center specializing in developing new medical technologies.

Research. The faculty develops and introduces state-of-the-art nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in dentistry.

Education. The teachers use the following technologies: problem-based lectures, lectures with intensive feedback, case study lectures, master classes, the case method, computer programs and interactive atlases, creative tasks, participation in scientific and practical conferences. The educational process is practice-oriented.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with A.I. Evdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, I.M.SechenovFirstMoscowStateMedicalUniversity, the Central Research Institute of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.

International projects and programs. The faculty implements the international research project "Development of Predicate Devices for Electrophoretic Cleansing and Targeted Nano-impregnation of Hard Tooth Tissues during Endodontic Treatment."

Competitive advantages. The university has all the necessary facilities and resources including its own dental clinic with 100 chairs. Some facilities are located at the leading medical and preventive treatment centers. The university boasts highly qualified teaching staff and the practice-oriented learning process.
