Achievements and awards. In 2015-2018 students were winners and diploma winners of the UMNIK Youth Scientific and Innovation Contest, the HealthNet contest, the All-Russian Contest of Youth Projects held by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (RosMolodezh), the youth forum of the Volga Federal District iVolga, holders of the Russian Federation President scholarship and the scholarship of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Teaching staff. The teachers are members of professional associations, participants of international scientific programs, members of editorial boards of medical journals, problematic academic and methodological commissions of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, dissertation councils. They participate in international and Russian conferences.

Facilities and resources. Students are trained at specialized institutions of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) including Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, and others.

Research. The faculty carries out research activities as part of sectoral and regional programs of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rospotrebnadzor. The main research areas are scientific substantiation of minimization of public health risks in Russia; evaluation of reproductive function; peculiarities of children and adolescents' physical development, etc.

Education. About 50 departments train specialists in the field of health protection for taking measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the public including surveillance in the sphere of consumer rights protection. The university has a simulation center for acquisition of practical skills, which allows teachers to provide high-quality training for future specialists. Students have access to the electronic library system.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, Research Institute of Labor Medicine of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, North-WesternStateMedicalUniversity, I.M.SechenovFirstMoscowStateMedicalUniversity.

International projects and programs. The teaching staff participates in the international project of the WHO Regional Office for Europe on the development of the Russian system of occupational health, safety and environment management as well as conduct joint research on evaluation of reproductive health of ore mining industry workers with West-Kazakhstan State Medical University named after M. Osmanov (Aktobe).

Competitive advantages. Future specialists undertake their educational internship and work placement at the medical institutions of Ufa and the Republic as well as the institutions of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing with state-of-the-art diagnostic, laboratory and therapeutic equipment. Graduates continue their studies by pursuing a medical residency program or a postgraduate degree.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. The faculty enrolls citizens of the CIS countries and other foreign countries (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc.), who not only get medical education but also take an active part in the university social life.
