On October 11, the 12th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition kicked off under the motto “Invest in the Future of the Children” at Baku Expo Centre. This is the only exhibition in the country which is organised with the official support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition also has the support of the Azerbaijan Fund for the Promotion of Export and Investment (AZPROMO), the Agency for Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the National Confederation of Entrepreneur Organisations (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Minister of Education Mr Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that human capital is the key indicator in ensuring the development of any society in the modern world; it indicates the country's development and its integration into the world community.
Minister J. Bayramov spoke positive changes and achievements of the national education system, and noted that the exhibition will present new projects and approaches to the systems of higher and secondary vocational education. He expressed his confidence that the exhibition would become a place where future applicants will get acquainted with these new products and get answers to their questions. The Minister also stressed that the Education exhibition is an important platform for communication between young people, schools and businesses, and will create new opportunities, while revealing interesting and promising projects.
Mr Edward Strachan noted that this year 135 educational structures from 12 countries of the world, which represent more than 90 different faculties, take part in the Education exhibition. At the end of his speech, Mr Strachan thanked the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for their official support to the exhibition.
Every year, the Education exhibition gathers on one site the leading higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, secondary special educational institutions, and advanced training centers. For the first time at this exhibition will exhibit the educational center “Dərs Evi” and kindergarten “Sevimli Bala”. The local company CELT Colleges will present its Study Abroad programme and the language courses.
