Novosibirsk expands geography of international cooperation
The working meeting of the authorities of Novosibirsk State Agrarian University with Vice-Governor of Phnom Penh and Rector of Angkor University (Cambodia) and Vice-Governor of Aimak Khovd, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Khural Aimak Khovd, held as part of the Asian International Forum, was devoted to expansion of international cooperation in the field of education with the countries of Southeast Asia and implementation of joint research, vocational guidance and educational projects.
According to Andrei Shindelov, Vice-Rector of NSAU for International Affairs and Public Relations, the following issues were discussed at the meeting: admission rules, preparation courses for foreign students, the results of the university’s cooperation with Asian countries. Today more than 700 foreign students are studying at Novosibirsk State Agrarian University. The university plans to increase this number and actively develops and implements international projects and programs, organizes internships for students, postgraduate students and teachers at foreign universities, invites international scientists to give classes and lectures, holds joint seminars and conferences. World-renowned scientists are members of the editorial boards of scientific journals of NSAU. Students from Mongolian State University of Agriculture in Ulaanbaatar have been enrolled at NSAU since 2010. A specialized class has been opened for those wishing to study at NSAU based on the comprehensive school "Daryn" in the city of Bayan-Ulgiy (Mongolia).
