September 30, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration will host the presentation of the 5th Global Survey on Internationalization of Higher Education by Giorgio Marinoni.
The study, based on the analysis of the primary data from 907 higher education institutions in 126 countries, is the most complete reflection of the global landscape of modern higher education. It includes all aspects of university activities: from education, research and curriculum development to human resource development and academic mobility.
A global study provides unique information about the process of internationalization, its relevance to the development of universities and the positive impact on the quality of education. On the other hand, it also reveals the main problems of the internationalization of higher education. Giorgio Marinoni, manager of policy and projects in higher education and internationalization of the International Association of Universities, will present the study. The event is organized by the Office for International Development of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
The International Association of Universities, founded in 1950 under the auspices of UNESCO, is the leading association of higher education institutions and organizations from around the world. Today, the association acts as the voice of higher education of UNESCO and other international organizations, providing a global communication platform for the leaders of educational organizations and associations.
The event is organized for the heads of structural divisions, international services managers and staff interested in developing international cooperation and internationalizing education.
The previous edition of the Global Survey on Internationalization of Higher Education by the International Association of Universities (IAU) is available here, and the full version of the International University Association's Global Higher Education Study on Internationalization is available here.
