The teacher training model of Kazan Federal University presented in Dresden
The scientists of Kazan Federal University took part in the international scientific conference 'Transformation of pedagogical education: global trends, national processes, local factors'.
The narrow-focused conference on pedagogical education held in Dresden brought together 40 leading scientists in the field of pedagogical sciences from 15 countries. They mostly represent highly reputed educational institutions included in TOP-200 of the best world's universities in the subject area of Education. We are glad that Kazan Federal University which is featured in TOP-125 of THE rankings in this academic field turned out to be far from being the last one in this list.
The conference was organized by the good partner of Kazan scientists - Technical University of Dresden with support from a number of German scientific and educational foundations.
'This is hardly the first example of effective cooperation between our universities, – commented Aydar Kalimullin, Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education of KFU. – Our delegation comprised five scientists and was the most representative one at the conference'.
The most topical reports on the pedagogical education issues presented by the scientists from various countries showed that they are typical of the whole world regardless of nationality. It should be mentioned that a lack of teachers is now an urgent problem even for highly developed countries. In this regard the teacher training experience in Kazan Federal University was considered interesting and challenging by foreign colleagгes. First of all, this is variability of models, infrastructure, digitization of education, future teacher recruiting system, etc. The reports were presented by Professors Aydar Kalimullin, Roza Valeeva, research fellow Daria Hanolainen, Associate Professor Gulshat Shakirova. The conference also included seminars and open lessons for school teachers from various countries. The lycea of Kazan Federal University were represented by the teacher of Lyceum named after N. Lobachevsky, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Honored Teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Romanova, whose reports became a real discovery for foreign colleagues within the context of participation of such highly qualified teachers in teaching schoolchildren at comprehensive education institutions of KFU.
It is revealing that about a half of participants of the conference in Dresden took part in the International Forum on Pedagogical Education in different years, so they could see the landmark changes that happened over recent years in KFU in this area. It is important that many of them are planning to participate in the anniversary V international forum that will be held in Kazan, on May 29-31, 2019.
'We hope that the future forum, that will be held in partnership with a number of leading international scientific educational associations, will strengthen the positions of Kazan Federal University as one of the world's leading education and research centers for teacher training. But the headline is that it will help solve the most difficult tasks that school education all over the world has to face'.
