The new owner of the British edition Times Higher Education
Times Higher Education was sold to a private company Inflexion, for the first time becoming an independent business organization.
The deal followed the spin-off of THE from the TES Global group of companies. Trevor Barratt, CEO at THE, said the deal would contribute to a new stage of development and growth.
Inflexion is a leading London investment company whose portfolio includes Chambers and Partners, a provider of data, ratings and practical guides for the legal sector.
Simon Turner, managing partner at Inflexion, said: "Times Higher Education has an excellent brand and a strong management team".
"By developing a business, we can firmly focus on strengthening its core strengths, namely expanding its digital presence and continuing global distribution, especially in the US and Asia".
