Achievements and awards. This program successfully underwent international external evaluation, which is confirmed by the corresponding certificate.

Teaching staff. Eighty-five percent of the teaching staff have academic degrees, 35% are Doctors of Sciences. The teaching staff includes one Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, five Honored Science Workers, 22 Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, many teachers have a breastplate "Excellent Worker of Public Health." There are 19 academic schools well-known in Russia and abroad.

Facilities and resources. Training is provided at the university clinics, 85 clinical facilities and the simulation and accreditation center. All classrooms have state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. The university has an extensive library fund, two reading halls, two e-learning rooms.

Research. The most prospective research areas covered by the program include the following: brain function research, a brain-machine interface, minimally invasive surgery with monitor visualization, prevention methods aimed at early detection of oncological diseases.

Education. The university applies both classical teaching methods and simulation technologies for effective training in the safe environment (computer-aided dummy robots, virtual simulators of the 7th level of realism). The evaluation system is being improved: multiple-choice questions-MCQ, a mini-clinical examination, an objective structured clinical examination-OSCE are used. The university closely collaborates with the Center for Breakthrough Studies of SamSMU, the Technopark as well as research and educational centers.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with University of Greifswald and Heinrich Heine University Dusseldorf (Germany), Goce Delcev University of Stip (Macedonia), Jean Monnet University, and Francois Rabelais University (France).

International projects and programs. The university annually implements student exchange with 20 countries in cooperation with the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations.
