Current position in rankings.TverStateMedicalUniversity was ranked 5th among medical universities of the Russian Federation according to the Ranking of Demand for Higher Educational Institutions in the Russian Federation-2017 and 96th among over 600 HEIs according to the Forbes ranking of Russian educational institutions.

Achievements and awards. The program was ranked among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia in 2017.

Teaching staff. The departments involved in the teaching process employ over 450 teachers including Corresponding Members of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, Honored Workers of Science of the Russian Federation and Honored Workers of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Facilities and resources. Training is provided in modern theoretical buildings and at clinical departments located at the leading medical and preventive treatment facilities  of Tver including the university clinic and outpatient clinic.

Research. The university conducts basic research in the field of molecular genetics and personalized medicine and comprehensive research to detect genetic predisposition to oncological diseases of different localization.

Education. The educational process focuses on training of both primary care physicians and single-discipline specialists. It is apparently practice-oriented: students are trained at the bedside of patients and widely use the capabilities of the SimulationTrainingCenter equipped with state-of-the-art phantoms and simulators.

Strategic partners. The university maintains international relations with the medical faculties of SaarlandUniversity in Germany and the University of Parma in Italy.

International projects and programs. The university maintains broad cooperation with the world's top medical universities as part of the Erasmus project of the European Union and the program of the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities.
