Current position in rankings.TverStateMedicalUniversity was ranked 5th among medical universities of the Russian Federation according to the Ranking of Demand for Higher Educational Institutions in the Russian Federation-2017 and 96th among over 600 HEIs according to the Forbes ranking of Russian educational institutions.

Achievements and awards. The program was ranked among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia in 2017. The university participates in all-Russian olympiads, contests and conferences such as "Virtuoso of Pediatrics," "Medical Spring," "Golden Talents of Medicine."

Teaching staff. The teaching staff of the faculty consists of over 300 employees including almost 200 Candidates and 50 Doctors of Medical Sciences, three Honored Workers of Science of the Russian Federation, 11 Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, two Corresponding Members of the RussianAcademy of Medical Sciences. The scientific school of Professor A.F. Vinogradov, the founder of the faculty, is well-known far beyond the Tver Region.

Facilities and resources. The teachers uses state-of-the-art phantoms and training models for drilling manipulations and skills, and resuscitation procedures including Neonatal Resuscitation Baby, MegaCode Kid.

Research. Research is conducted in the following promising areas: pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, urology, traumatology.

Education. The teachers use active and interactive forms and methods of teaching: computer simulations, business games and role plays, brainstorming, master classes, round tables, subject olympiads.

Strategic partners. The university partners within the West-European Medical Cluster are I.M.SechenovFirstMoscowStateMedicalUniversity, IvanovoStateMedicalAcademy, SmolenskStateMedicalUniversity, PirogovRussianNationalResearchMedicalUniversity, the Medical Faculty of Saarland University in Germany.

International projects and programs. The university participates in Russian-German summer medicine schools, Russian-German academic and scientific centers of endoscopic surgery and ophthalmosurgery.
