Each year these universities will receive additional funding in the amount of 148 million euros to support promising research projects.

Thematic areas related to the specialization of each particular "University of Excellence" and the Berlin University Alliance may be interesting for the Russian research institutes and universities, when planning international scientific and technical cooperation, taking into account the provisions of the Russian-German Roadmap for cooperation in the field of education, science, research and innovation (2018-2028) and the Russian-German Cross Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships (2018-2020), which are a suitable context for the further development of existing and launch of new Russian-German research and educational projects.
