Awards and achievements of the educational program. In 2016 the program won the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. In 2016-2017 the university took part in the independent and objective evaluation of students’ knowledge. The independent evaluation of the Pediatrics major was performed in pathophysiology.

PHARMACY, PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, DENTISTRY, GENERAL MEDICINE 

Teaching staff. The Faculty of Pediatrics consists of 16 departments, five of them being specialized ones, and they are established at multidisciplinary pediatric clinics and outpatient clinics of Ufa. The departments of the faculty employ one Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, 37 Professors, 30 Associate Professors, over 70 Candidates of Medical Sciences. Many of them are holders of honorary titles of Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation (two), Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation (two), Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation (three), Honored Doctor of the Republic of Bashkortostan (19).

University partners within the educational program. Students are trained at the large healthcare centers of Ufa with modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

Students’ achievements. In 2015 the pediatric student team took the second place in the Second All-Russian Student Olympiad in Pediatrics (St. Petersburg). Future pediatric surgeons annually win prizes of regional and all-Russian olympiads and student conferences.

Facilities and resources. Students have access to the electronic library system containing publications on the major subjects, a unique simulation center for developing practical skills in pediatrics, neonatology, anaesthesiology-resuscitation, surgery, where students can drill methods of emergency medical care.

Students can join non-commercial associations, the youth research association, sports and creative clubs.

Opportunities for students. Students undertake study placement at HarbinMedicalUniversity, Nanchang, Sichuan, Jilin universities (China), at the Mannheim Faculty of Medicine of the University of Heidelberg, at the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine of Dresden University of Technology (Germany). The faculty implements regular student exchange programs with medical universities of Germany and the CIS countries.

The leading surgeons of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia and foreign countries give master classes and live demonstrations of endoscopic surgeries including master classes with the participation of foreign colleagues from Sichuan University (China), Utrecht University (the Netherlands), the University of Regensburg (Germany), Washington University (USA).
