MOSCOW, May 13. /Tass/. The government of the Russian Federation has approved the rule of providing grants to universities for the implementation of the activities within the framework of the federal project "Export of Education" of the national priority project "Education". This is stated in the decision of the Cabinet, published on the official Internet portal of legal information. The decree of the Government of the Russian Federation is published on the official online legal information portal.
"To approve the rules of providing grants in the form of subsidies for the implementation of individual activities of the federal project "Export of Education" of the national project "Education", stated in the document.
The funds will be provided on a competitive basis in the amount of 16.5 million rubles to 290 million rubles. The money will be directed to the implementation of 11 events within the framework of the federal project, in particular, the formation of a mechanism of state support for promoting Russian education abroad, an information campaign to attract foreigners to study in Russian universities, including an employer-sponsored education, the creation of 50 resource centers for children and teachers who promote popularization of the study of general education subjects at the advanced level in the partner countries.
According to the plans of the federal project, by 2024 the number of foreigners studying in Russian universities should increase at least twice as compared with 2017, and at least 5% of foreign graduates will be employed in Russian companies, including work abroad.
