Universities of the Far East and the Arctic will strengthen ties with India
There are plans to include the universities of the Far East and the Arctic in the working group that is being created to strengthen inter-university cooperation between Russia and India.
Such an initiative was announced at the round table on bilateral cooperation in the field of education, held in New Delhi and chaired by Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District. The Indian party proposed to consider the possibility of creating a working group at the intergovernmental level with the participation of university rectors. Following the discussion, Yury Trutnev instructed the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East to elaborate on this issue in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and Far Eastern Federal University.
According to Yu.Trutnev, FEFU can become a key platform for interaction with Indian universities. About two hundred students from India are studying medicine and shipbuilding at the Center of Russian Language and Culture of FEFU.
