Baikal International Education Fair-2018 'Education of the Future'

On November 22- 24, 2018 the Sibexpocenter in Irkutsk will host the Baikal International Education Fair (BIEF) for the first time. The Fair will become the largest event in the field of education in the region, a new-style discussion platform and will present the state-of-the-art breakthrough educational technologies. The Fair in Irkutsk will promote young people's career guidance and introduction of the best international practices into the Russian education system

The BIEF is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Irkutsk Region and the Moscow International Education Fair with support from the Governor and the Government of the Irkutsk Region. The media partners of the Conference are Accreditation in Education Company and Higher Education Discovery.

The topic of the Fair is 'Education of the Future'.

The goal of the event is to develop the education ecosystem that includes the whole palette of interactions between the educational process participants as well as new paths in discussing the issues of the education sector modernization.

BIEF will receive over 8000 guests including 6000 professionals and 2000 schoolchildren and school leavers as well as university students. Over 100 exhibitors from across the country will present state-of-the-art educational technologies and off-the-shelf solutions to create the modern educational infrastructure.

The Chiefs of Staff of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District, Sergei Levchenko, Governor of the Irkutsk Region, rectors of Russian HEIs and business representatives will participate in the Fair.

The heads of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science are expected to participate in the panel discussion dedicated to the issues of Russian HEIs' prestige and popularity enhancement in the global and international community in terms of research and educational activities.

The business program of the Fair includes over 200 events with the participation of federal speakers. The leading universities will demonstrate their potential and research and methodological resources, and educational organizations of supplementary and professional education will show the advantages of blue-collar jobs. Training centers and schools will present their capabilities and will conduct master classes. The program will include scientific conferences, round tables, seminars, foresight sessions, lectures, interactive platforms.

As part of the special project 'Russian Manufacturer' initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the technological education support foundation 'Navigator of educational technologies' and MIEF, the educational aids produced by Russian manufacturers will be presented.

As part of the eventful business program, Rossiysky Uchebnik Corporation, the BIEF's strategic partner, will present innovative digital educational solutions for schools, will share advanced educational practices and unique expert evaluation results which will allow schools to implement the 'Education' national project in the near future, make the learning process more productive and exciting.

The guests and participants of the events will have the opportunity to use the whole range of resources: from arrangements for the negotiation and building of personal business routes to participation in the common information campaign. The cluster 'State policy in the field of education' will include the plenary session 'Strategic development of the higher education system of Siberia and Far East' with the participation of the heads of executive government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation executing state administration in the field of education.

Besides the education sector representatives of the Irkutsk Region, the BIEF will bring together the professional communities of the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Tuva, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Transbaikal Territory and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Kemerovo Region, and other regions. The official languages of the BIEF will be Russian and English.
