This Collection contains data for the period 1950-2017 on the export of educational services provided by Russian higher educational institutions with various types of institutional affiliation and of various forms of ownership. It provides detailed statistical information on each higher educational institution, including the total number of foreign nationals enrolled in its full-time programs in academic year 2016/2017.
The Collection also presents data on part-time study programs and all types of educational services for foreign nationals worldwide provided by Russian higher educational institutions (joint programs of universities, institutes, branches, educational centers and other structural units of Russian universities abroad); it also gives information on average fees at Russian higher educational institutions and the total income earned by Russian higher educational institutions for the export of educational services.
In addition, the present Collection contains data for the last 15 years on international students enrolled in Russian secondary vocational education institutions and enrolled in general education schools in the Russian Federation, as well as on training in Russian general education programs in schools abroad and in Russian language courses at Centers of Russian science and culture and representative offices of Rossotrudnitchestvo worldwide for the last 15 years.
The data have been calculated in accordance with the principles of contemporary methodology. This will allow readers to compare the data presented in this book with the data of the Russian Federal State Statistical Service and international indices.
The Compilation is intended for use by academics, researchers, administrative personnel and managers, and all others interested in the export of educational services by Russian educational institutions.
The publication was presented during the workshop "The Strategy for Development of Russian Education Export" for the staff of international departments of higher education institutions at RUDN University December 6, 2018.
