Programme presentation. The key aim of the Law programme is to train competitive and competent professionals possessing fundamental knowledge and expertise of legal culture and legal awareness. Academic lectures, seminars and workshops held at the institute, as well as at partner universities, are effcient and essential components of the teaching and learning process. Interactive teaching and learning methods are actively used in education. In order to improve the quality of education and make it professionally oriented the institute uses courts, ministries and executive bodies of authority as the main field bases for internship. For many years the students have been participating in regional and federal research competitions and contests, such as “My initiative in law-making” and are awarded different prizes.

Teaching staff. Over 94% of the teaching staff are candidates and Doctors of science. All of them take an active part in Russian and international research conferences. Leading practitioners from the Arbitrary court of the KhabarovskTerritory, Khabarovsk Governmental bodies are involved in teaching process. Some of them are honoured with noble titles. The staff of the department take an active part in different scientific conferences not only in Russia, but abroad.

Competitiveness of students. The students who are interested in improving the English have the possibility to major in it at the “Foreign Languages Department”. Upon graduation they get the Diploma of Translator in the professional sphere.

Laboratory facilities of the institute allow to provide the training of highly professional lawyers. The students of the institute have 100% excess to hard copy and e-editions through modern technologies. They also have full-text access to such legal resources as “Consult-Plus”, “Garant”, “Codex”.

Interaction with employers. There are two professionally oriented chairs formed atthe Arbitrary court of the KhabarovskTerritory and at the Department on Human Rights in the Khabarovsk Krai.

The realization of employers` order reflecting the demand in certain specialists at regional labour market is the main focus in training graduates.

The institute provides the graduates with support in their employment through interaction with local structures representing federal bodies of executive power, with the bodies of state and municipal administration, with industrial complex, with institutions and organizations of different forms of ownership.
