Programme presentation. The content of the programme includes both disciplines of the federal part and the disciplines of the HEI, which are determined by economic, social and demographic peculiarities of the Republic of Komi and neighbouring regions, requirements of the labour market and requests of students and employers. The Institute of Law has its own research and educational fund and a reading hall equipped by mod-ern tools for search and use of research literature. The access is available to external in-formation resources; in the library and academic buildings every student is provided with individual unlimited access to e-library systems and the Internet through Wi-Fi as well as free access to the law reference systems “Consultant Plus” and “Garant”. There is a media library, which contains collections of documents, types of contracts, the code of court practice and encyclopaedias and textbooks.

Teaching staff. Among teachers there are six Doctors and 12 Candidates of Juridical Sciences with experience in teaching and work in law enforcement, court and prosecution authorities. There is a student clinic, which provides law services. Innovative forms of learning are implemented.

Competitiveness of students. The average passing grade of applicants in the Unified State Exam is high (e.g. 233 points as of 2013). The graduates of the programme obtain quality education in law, which ensures the high level of their employability at the market of law services.

Interaction with employers. The main employers include court and law enforcement authorities, advocacy, notary, judicial authorities, penitentiary system, public and local self-government authorities and law offices of commercial organizations and banks. Within the educational process there are meetings with representatives of federal and regional public and local self-government authorities and public organizations and master-classes of experts and specialists. Leading specialists of the following public authorities, institutions and companies of the Republic of Komi are actively involved in the educational process: prosecution service, election commission, Supreme Court, commercial court, State Council, Federal Supervision Agency forˇ Customer Protection and Human Welfare, Union of Lawyers, VTB24, etc.
